Self Care September — Because You Deserve More Than Just 16 Minutes

Self Care September — Because You Deserve More Than Just 16 Minutes

As we step into a new season, there’s no better time to pause, reflect, and recommit to nurturing ourselves from within. Embodyme is more than just skincare; it’s a movement towards intentional self-care and optimal wellbeing. Founded by beauty expert, health coach and wellness advocate Sarah Reid, Embodyme is built on the belief that every woman deserves to embody the best version of herself. Our luxurious body oils are crafted with the finest botanical oils, infused with mood enhancing fragrances, designed to nourish your skin and shift the way you feel. Each product is a gentle reminder to take time for yourself, to honour your needs, and to cultivate a deep sense of self connection.

Last year Embodyme embarked on independent research to explore New Zealand women's approach to self care in the modern day. The research has revealed some startling truths: 85% of women admit to neglecting their self-care, dedicating an average of just 16 minutes a day to themselves. Many women struggle with guilt when prioritising their own needs, often putting the well-being of others before their own. These findings underscore the urgent need for a new approach to self-care—one that empowers women to reclaim control over their well-being.

85% of women admit to neglecting or postponing their personal well-being whilst spending an average of 16 minutes per day on their self-care.

In response, we’re launching Self Care September, a month-long initiative designed to inspire and support women in expanding their self-care practices. Our challenge is simple yet profound: take your 16 minutes of daily self-care and transform it into 60. This is your time to break free from feelings of stigma and guilt and to embrace the importance of nurturing yourself as a powerful affirmation of self-worth.

How to Get Your 60 Minutes of Self Care

To amplify our message, we’ve partnered with inspiring founders and wellness advocates who share their tips on how they incorporate 60 minutes of self-care into their busy lives. From morning rituals and mindful movement to nourishing skincare routines, these women show that self-care isn’t just a luxury—it’s a necessity. Tune in to our Instagram for daily self care inspiration and rituals.
