Our People: Renee Brown's Daily Rituals

Renee Brown's Daily Rituals

In our busy lives, where women often juggle many roles, daily rituals help us stay connected and rejuvenated. Equally important is the power of learning from others. When we embrace the wisdom and experiences of those around us, we open ourselves to growth and positive change. By weaving these shared lessons into our routines, we can create a more fulfilling and harmonious life.

Meet Renee Brown - passionate advocate for wellness and plant-based living. Renee has a decade of experience in nourishing herself and others through wholesome, plant-based nutrition. As a qualified Nutritionist and Health Coach, Renee dedicates her expertise to empowering busy mums to prioritise their self-care, find balance, and cultivate radiant health. Morning Ritual: What's the first thing you do in the morning to set a positive tone for the day?

My morning routine changes all the time depending on how the kids are sleeping but if all goes to plan then I love to start my day with a meditation. I will set my alarm at 6 am and do 20 minutes of Vedic meditation, which is where I sit in silence and repeat a mantra that I was given. I adore this practice and find that the stillness in the morning has the biggest impact on how I feel and show up for the rest of the day so I always do my very best to fit it in.

Daily Inspiration: Could you share a daily practice or routine that keeps you inspired and motivated?

Movement for me has always been something that brings a lot of creativity and new energy into my body. I love beach walks with a podcast or otherwise Pilates or yoga at home for 20 minutes. I call it my moving meditation.

Evening Ritual
: How do you unwind and practice self care in the evening after a busy day?

I love to read so I am always signing off at the end of the day around 8.30 pm and then I hop into bed and try to get at least 30 minutes, ideally longer to read and unwind. I also love a super-hot shower with low lights, finishing with a body massage using the Embodyme oils.

Is there a specific product of ours that you love?

I’m currently loving the Peace body oil. Life is so busy so I love adding in a little of this to remind me to slow down, breathe, and look after myself.

Words of Wisdom/Words to live by: What's a piece of advice or words of wisdom that you might like to share in relation to self care or finding time for yourself?

Do more of what makes you feel good. I think in the wellness / self-care space we so often look to others to understand what to do instead of simply asking ourselves, “What makes me feel amazing, happy, balanced, calm, etc.” and then doing more of those things on the daily.

I would also say that self-care is one of the most important things you can add to your day, and if you start to dive deep into this and prioritize your happiness, health, and energy then you will quickly learn that the impact it has is not just on how you feel but how you move through your day, how you talk to your children and how you handle life’s stressor.
